the eggs are dropped by the female. Shrimplets or baby shrimps will hatched from the eggs which the female will carry at their belly areas. For cherrys you can see the small light greenish yellowish eggs at their bellies while crs are dark brown eggs.
They will dropped their eggs due to a few factors:
- stress
- a sudden change in their environment
- first timer pregnant mamas
- not yet matured females
There are times when the eggs are dropped but still hatched within 2 days but highly unlikely since they need to be so call "fertilised". Sad to say but the eggs are a goner and will be a food source for the rest of the shrimps. No worries once you see a female shrimps somewhere, your next batch of shrimps will comes along pretty fast.
