Great setup! Nice creepingThere's this single long plant in the middle foreground? What's your fert regime
Cheers
Didn't use any liquid fertilizer. I suppose the ADA amazon soil is very rich. The glosso need a small trim every 2 weeks, if not a major trim is required every 4weeks, which is somehow a real headache!
The centre about 6 inch tall plant is just one of the odd glosso! I just leave it there for no purpose.![]()
No fertilizer?... soon you will know what will happen at later stage...

most likely your glosso will start to turn yellow after sometime when the soil becomes infertile..
but liquid fert itself might be a threat to your tank as it might cause algae bloom cos you don't have stemmed plants which can absorb the excess nutrients directly off from the water![]()

Thanks for the information, at the moment the glosso still very green and healthy. Its growing like wild fire. Could be thinking of replacing it eventually by maybe dwarf hairgrass.
Each plant need its own special care, even dwarf hairgrass has its own problem. Hairgrass structure is thin and long, they need very fine CO2 or dissolve CO2 to grow them well, when they grow well, they collect lots of dirts at the same time due to its compact grow, you need to vacumm the dirt. When there's too much dirt, they start to rot below and algae will take the opportunity to attack.

You got a very nice planted there, hope to have one soon.
I can see the glosso already overlaping each other. Time for a trim before the whole piece of lawn floats up

wow bro, nice creeping glosso lawn you have there
guess it must be backbreaking to plant glosso on a 422 tank...
how many hours you took to plant them![]()
I've experienced the floating several times. Eventually I give up planting glosso as the maintenance is too tedious. But no doubt glosso lawn is extremely attractive.
There are several ways in trimming the glosso. One of the way is the checker box concept. You may look in the internet for more info on that.
