I had brought back those from Hong Kong recently and they died on me when I tried to climatise them. A part of me died with me then. I was pretty sure I had different sub-species in the same bag but definitely in the same group as neon goby.

Yup..looks like the one you posted.
Currently not planning to give up any till I manage to sex them. But i will keep you in mind.
The new batch is looking skinny so I'm trying to fatten them up with natural algae.

Yup the dorsal and caudal have traces of orange. The body is drab. One of mine with a black bar on the side of the head. The other doesn't, so they actually look different. I'll try to get good photos of them this weekend. They're still quite skittish, but relatively good-sized.
My tank has natural algae, and I'm giving them sinking pellets too. Wonder if they're actually eating those....

Here are pix of the Stiphodon I got. Sorry my tank glass is very dirty
Any ID? The first two are the same fish, the third pic is a different fish.
Went back to Wu Hu today. Got some Homaloptera sp. (I think). There are two more pairs of Crenicichla regani if anyone is interested.![]()

anyone know if they have a pair of Tateurndina ocellicauda (peacock gudgeon) left? pricing?

Stiphodon available again.

Hi avant, is this the same species as the last time?

yup, but there are two different types in there.

Right, thanks! Will go down and take a look if I happen to be in the area![]()

anyone being to wuhu this few days ? any sighted of the fish for the new shipment ?
thanks
it's a really interesting fish..
I never saw Wu Hu open every time I drop by...what are their actual business hours?

What are the days and times do you go down? They normally close by 8 plus.
there was once I went on weekdays at 1pm and it was closed; the days were like Tue or Thu; never seen them open at all...no joke.

At times, the Stiphodon show sexual dimorphism, so sometimes the females may look like a different species.
I have no idea what species we usually get, but I think we had both Stiphodon percnopterygionus and Stiphodon atropurpureus as imports here before. In any case, gobies are confusing. Try and send pictures to Helen Larson, the goby expert. I think Choy should know how to contact her.
Probably closed for lunch? Or they were out on some other business.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
hmm...such coincidence? what time and day do you guys usually go to be able to catch them open for business?

Ben closes on Monday cause he does his rounds for aquascaping.
maybe I'll try to catch the shop open on other days then...
I was there on Sunday at about 2+ and they were open. Got a batch of wildcaught Biotodoma wavrini![]()
cool! what time did you go and was it crowded?
