No. Hot glue is toxic for aquarium use. The heat will kill the plant/moss also. Use "Gel Superglue" not liquid Superglue.

gel super glue? care to share what kind? kinda interested in glueing my mosses onto the irregular shape wood. big headache tying mosses onto it..
So it works for you.
You can get it at Daiso($2 shop) those Gel Superglue, just do it as you normally do with superglue, either on the rock/wood or on the plant, they are not like liquid Superglue which will burn them, good about Gel type is you dont need a smooth surface, any surface will work, after you glue, just rinse it with tap water and you are ready to put into your tank.![]()

I've try using Gel Superglue on US Fissiden with the rock, after a period in the tank i removed the rock out of the water and dry for sometime(months), later put back the rock and the Fissiden is alive from hibernation. Not sure it works on you.

yes it works..
thank you for your tips!
the ferns are growing..
not sure if I apply not enough glue, some of them do drop out after sometime..
have not tried on moss or fissiden though..
just stick it like you are going to stick things normally...
for me after I stick the plant, I throw it back into the tank straight and I've forgotten to rinse the plants/ glue. but everything looks alright.
Great! going to try it on a new project![]()
...I love rubies too ...
Ken
got them from selffix ... any brand should do... just look for "GEL"
I read at western forum about using super glue but didn't know that it suppose to be gel type. So I use normal super glue to glue some X'mass moss. The glued part is burn but the rest of the part still growing

the better brand one is "Loctite". most Gel type will do.

Do I need to let it "cure" before rinsing? Or can straight away rinse after applying and attaching the moss?

they dry up slightly slower than liquid type but still fast enough before you rinse. like fireblade said it need not be.![]()

Would this gel type be able to glue fissidens to smooth pebbles?
Thanks
you mean to say you just glue entire fronds of the fissidens to the wood/rock? Because i do have a fair bit of fissidens, and looking for ways to attach them to other objects

...people ask why I eat fish even though i'm such an avid fish keeper... Bottom line is that I've been eating fish a lot longer than I've been keeping them...
