I am no expert on this but to my understanding some beetles has very hard shell so your frog may not be able to diguest it.

I might be wrong but the chitin or 'shell' of mealworms/darkling beetle (Tenebrio molitor) can cause impaction of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract in young or small frogs. Personally, I'd go with sub-adult crickets or young superworm (Zophobas morio) since their protein level is generally much higher than that of mealworms.
General rule of thumb is that the feeder bug is no bigger than the space between the eyes, in your case, of the frog.

Another thing to take into consideration. It is best to feed the larvae of these beetles when they have just molted. Softer skin so easier for the herptile to digest it. Some people dust the bugs with calcium powder etc. for more nutritional value.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.

My frogs never liked the beetles. And yes bro stormhawk is correct in saying freshly molted worms are the best!
