    Pressure gauge reading dropped

This morning noticed my co2 pressure gauge reading drop to less than 50.

So I turn the main knob on the cylinder to open direction n turn... Till I cannot turn anymore. ( usually when the reading drop, I just turn the main knob to open a few round and the reading will shoot back to 70) but still the reading remain.

So I freak out and worry and quickly turn back the knob to close.

Co2 is still bubbling out. I believe once the pressure needle valve is finish then there will be no more bubble.

My co2 cylinder still feel very heavy and cannot be empty so fast after 2 3 month of usage.

So like to ask the expert here, what is happening and how to solve it?

How long have you been using CO2, are you sure that it can last more than 3 months based on your usage? If you are, then there's definitely leakage somewhere. First things first is you need to top up you tank so you can start troubleshooting. Change your hose to a new one and connect tightly to the diffuser and regulator. Then use some bubble/soap method to check for leakage.

Is your regulator with 1 or 2 gauge? If 2 gauge, one of it will tell you the pressure inside the tank and it should show around 800-1000psi.

    Re: Pressure gauge reading dropped

    feeling heavy doesn't mean anything.
weighting works only when you have the weight of a full cylinder and the weight of an empty cylinder.

chances are that your cylinder is really empty.
you can try removing the 'regulator' and then opening the main valve for a few seconds.
see whether co2 continue to "hiss" loudly or "hiss' tapering off.

how long a cylinder of co2 lasts depends on your bubbling rate.
and whether the cylinder is properly filled.

it may be time for a co2 topup.
