    Hi All,

Been a long while since my last posting. Here is a revisit to 4ft discus planted tank. The plants have overgrown and pending a good trim. Here are some shots taken before I give it a "hair-dressing"

    All comments are welcome.

Yup! Unfortunately the female blue diamond discus passed on, so I sold off the big male cheap. Now the tank is occuppied by 4 x RGD (got a confirmed pair inside heehee...)so coverted from blue army to red army

Thanks bro, this tank is not big. Many others in the forum has 5ft, 6ft and some even have ponds

If you have time, go check out the scape under "sunken garden" title done by a fellow forumer here. It has been a great inspiration for me when I first started this hobby, I could only dream...

It is java moss on several big pieces of wood. Was previously all covered with blyxa that gave a wild plains look. Though nice; but high maintenance as I need to clear blyxa fallen tips from my surface skimmer each day. With this change to moss, I've reduced the blyxa to half the population and reduce my maintenance

Thanks bro! Many of the plants here came from you

My new weapon against algae is to achieve blooming plant growth to counter it!

Trimmed away plants at the right side that have exceeded the water surface. Here are some shots including my RGD pair inside. Enjoy and comments or suggestions are welcome.

Did not stop blood worm; but reduced feeding because I sold off all my blue diamond discus and left only the RGD. Now feeding only 2 cubes of frozen bloodworm each day. Can see improvement also due to the bloom in plant growth to counter.

I see. Ya. I found out several months after I stopped feeding with bloodworms. It really helps or rather eliminate BBA. Btw, you should externally linked your photos from photobucket or imageshack so that your tank picture will look big on the forum. Currently it look so small to view properly and doing the tank some justice

I'm not into wild discus due to budget and challenge in getting them to do well in planted. A good place to get discus is from the forum market place
