hi
Any idea if shrimps can survive in a nano tank without filtration or air pump...

Cherry can. Those wild types especially more hardy.

Hi,
What's the ideal water temperature for shrimps?
I was keeping CRS in my office tank with water temperature ranging from 22.5 to 29.3, and i lost all 4 of them. although the cause of the death might not be the temperature, but could the 29.4 degrees Celuis be too much for them? The temperature went up over the weekend when the AC was off.
Are cherry shrimps more tolerant of temperatures and other water parameters? Or what other breeds are more hardy?
I think it's the temperature.. 29.5deg is too high..

Alan, don't say until liddat lah. Live and learn, bro. Carrying that grey matter between my ears isn't worth the effort if it doesn't see any action. Besides, that 'cycling' issue was the first thing that popped into mind.

Ya takes alot of experience to master.
I think your temp fluctuate too much, I was keeping mine with fan only, temp flactuates between 26 to 28, cannot make it. Though got survivors, but every now and then, will find a dead body.
29 is too high for them.
Try to add an airstone, might help.

for the nano tank try not to used fan as the water may evaporate too much, better get a nano chiller more stable.
if you really need to put a tank try diy a dripping system to keep the ph and ge stable.

i seen a nano chiller at 328 should be the dolphin brand.
But i been using the dripping method plus a fan still i need to top up the tank almost every day
