    Golden eyed cherry shrimp

    Saw this cherry shrimp with golden eyes in my tank. It is the only one in the tank with golden eyes, the rest all have black eyes. Should be quite a rare occurance.

    Nope, not cataract, its eyesight is ok, can swim and navigate well.

    Nope those are not golden eyes. Golden eyes looks rather bright yellow-orange. That piece you have that, I do see such shrimps in my tank too, and even wonder if it's blind.

    bro lucusjiang,
    you can try get a small tank to house them and try to selective breeds them to get GERC (golden eye red cherry). hee hee

    If you look closely, it still has a black pupil in the middle, so i guess it can still see. Also it can find food by itself.

    Cannot lah, my house has too many tanks, cannot accomodate even more.
