    My now cycling tank have oily surface on the water. Is this normal?

    I have it too.

    I just have air bubbles installed within the tank and will be gone soon.

    Protein use a air stone bubbles will do the trick.

    Like above bro Hyun and mod navanod mention the food. Most likely the food meaty food if you feed too much meaty base.

    Ok thanks for all the input! Very interesting! Anyways there is no food in it so must be the plants that are rotting inside.

    Yes it is best to clean or break out the extra protein on the water surface
