I think i will follow your track bro...
got almost the same setup but with led and ada soil. Havent put anything waiting for water to clear up.

Cant see your tank from front hahaha.
    How long has it been?
    Mind sharing your steps?
From day or week1. Would be very relevant for me.

Hope I'm not insulting the committee (new to shrimp keeping)

    Welcome to shrimp keeping...

Keep it up... Would advise to have a bigger tank if possible... But take this tank as a stepping stone to learn more..

    Happy shrimping...

Re: Hope I'm not insulting the committee (new to shrimp keeping)

I don't think you should take my advise cos I'm not at that level yet There are a lot of experienced bros here.

Sorry about the quality ! photo taken with phone camera.
This tank's been about 3 months.

Basically the same as how you did it.
Then I cycled the water with feeder fish, for 1 week (small tank)
During cycling, daily water change 10% cos I scared ammonia spike.
Tried to plant my HC cuba (gave up halfway because they kept floating)
Bought & added some rocks (which I removed because they weren't working for me)
Added cherrys to test water. Did fine at first but then they started dying one shot cleared a lot but remaining ones are super lively ! That was at about 3 weeks.

I added some pricier shrimps to test water. None has died since then

So.. from that experience, just do up your tank scape and plants first. Cycle the tank. Everything will fall into place (Get a testing kit if you don't want to be a murderer ) Add shrimps.
I'm not sure what a chiller does but mine seems happy without it
Check cross-breeding charts before you add them
And that's about it I guess. I'm looking into mosura products now, you may want to consider that too !

No lah... expert like bro alvin tank is bigger, and many variants of equipment, your experience is as valuable input as them because of similarity in environment

You got those small jar of shrimp food in the packet right? Is that edible? Lol not convinced.

I filled up the filter with ceramic rings. You got anything inside?

Btw this small tank package is cheapest at seaview.
I saw sone stores are like 150% price lol.

Re: Hope I'm not insulting the committee (new to shrimp keeping)

Haha I know right ! $18.80 is crazy cheap !
I haven't tried the shrimp food from the set too ! "chili shrimp food" Haha
I have ceramic rings in the filter too but mine is crushed because the filer's not really spacious.
I also got put squeezed a pack of activated carbon, change every 2-3 weeks.

    I got from c328.
I saw one or two green thin, the rest more like cherry.

Haha once used to it they will eat it. Generally preferred by CRS though for some reason. Anyway I think those are probably what some of us call "wild type" N. heteropoda.

I am curious .. why you want to put green shrimp .. Your setting is nice and maybe red shrimps suits the overall .. Especially when you spam the tank with lots of fire red .. haha .. Opps .. bad advice here ..

Re: Hope I'm not insulting the committee (new to shrimp keeping)

I need to test first. I got bed bug problem at home. So i have insecticide insident before. Killing my yamatos and few fishes.
Even my pleco changed color during that time. Now seems ok so i restarted with new tank.
Meanwhile i put my green shrimp in my old 50cm tank.
I found 5 dead this morning. I think still have residue.
I move two to new tank in pic. New small tank is 50% old cycled water. See how tomorrow.

I think these are not true greens, maybe really just lousy cherries.
    Hence even cheaper. Lol
