I have 3 of them in my 1.5 feet. So far have never heard or seen them eat plants just algaes. You can always go for bumblebee nertile to play safe.
Hi all,
i just start up my first shrimp tank 30cm x 30cm x 30 cm tank and 5 wire mesh of US mini fissiden as turfing con my sub. Housing 11 cherry red, 1 oto. Just to check if it is ok to place a nerite snail into the community. i am worrying the snail will destroy my turf of lighly planted fissiden on metal meshs like a lawn mower when they crawl thru.

i used to have 5 bumble bee horned nerites in a 10L aquarium. my mini fissiden carpet was just attached to the soil, no string no mesh. got no problem at all.
Yup,in the small tanks Nearest The counter.
Quarantining would be the same.as any.other lifestock right??

Not necessary to quarantine, if you want can also. I got mine from Y618, i think 5 for $5 or $6.
5 for $5 at 618, they do a great job at cleaning surface algae, so far no mini fissidens are still around..
So punctuation makes a big difference.
Supposed to be:
So far, no. mini fissiden are still around.
Haha,punctuation nazi!

Just go 2 of my horned nerites from c328 and the* 3rd shop near the coffeeshop*. was wondering how come my nerite is about 1cm in width shell. is this the normal size?
horned nerite snails from what I've seen in the shops are usually quite small, black and yellow, with horns..
if you want a larger nerite you could always get the zebra nerite

I just bought mini fissiden from one of the merchant here on Wed and my 5 horned nerite snails have not touched them yet. Seems like they are not interested with the fissiden.
