i like the arrangement, especially the huge rock on the right.

But the rock at the back look like out of place.
After having been inspired by the various aquascaping, I felt the need to get one done... been playing with 1 foot cube tanks, but just could not get any satisfaction from them...... so made the decision to get a 2x1 footer.... have most of the scape worked out in the head, making use of whats available stuff from my 1 footer....
Got a second hand 2x1 from a fellow forumer here and decided to take leave and set it up......
This is the empty tank, which I am using Planta soil....
So here's the hardscape is is done.....
filled it up and planted some plants....
Looking quite bare, so went over to a LFS in Tampines and got myself some stuff to fill in the blanks....
Some different angled shots.....
Some comments for improvements from the sifus here will be very much appreciated....

Nice tank solid
the rock behind is there to anchor the tree trunk wood down... hope to replace with a similar colour rock...... intend to for two rock wall with black pebbles in a curvy shape, probably silicon on a hard plastic sheet, then place them along the "stream" and add white sand.... also think need to stick some moss on the huge rock .....
nice setup!!but will the "road" in the middle be covered by the soil after some time?
like I describe previous post, will make a "retaining wall" with black pebbles silicon to a plastic strip, for the length of the road.... then fine white sand as road surface,... this should spearte the black soil and the sand and not cause them to mix....will update once complete.... I also have a concurrent project... a paludarium...
... will be a busy weekend..
did some minor changes to the tank, as previously said, to prevent the empty space or "pathway" from being covered by soil over time, I built a retaining wall for both banks and added white sand .....
this is one side of the "wall", built with black stones and silicon, on a piece of semi hard plastic (stationary).....
silicon some soil to the sides....
both bamks placed together.....

now, to place the walls into the tank......
had to remove the tree. stones behind and cleared the pathway.....
it would be easier to dry the tank, but that will take too much time....
ok, both sides in.....
and now to add the white sand..... which is tough as it clouds the water, the sand was really very fine...
Ok, this is the final picture taken one day after the operations..... more moss was tied to the tree.... removed stones that does match.... added more grass to the foreground on both left and right bank....

wow.... very nice......
you make me want to rescape my tank...
Good job man....
Nice, good idea to use when building my slopes.
Nice! When the moss on the left grows, it will look like a complete tree. What rock is that on the right? Wanted to do something like your layout but I doesn't wants to re-arrange my aquascape.
The rock looks like a giant troll sitting on a hill![]()

I really do not know what rock is that, got it from a lfs a few years back and was sitting in store until last week......
some of my friends said it look like Jabba the hutt, which I have no clue of what's its all about until I googled.....

It kinda look like it
revamped the whole tanks, as all plants were destroyed by two crayfishes, which I have since removed...... this set up is three weeks and looks like everything is growing nicely....
moss are nicely pearling last night
saw a stream of air bubbles rising from one corner, even though the mist of CO2 did not reach that corner.....
