Any Stem plants would be good. I got some Wisteria for a more 'bushy' look. Let me know if you want it.

I would guess that the jungle look would come with over grown plants and dense plant growth.

You could consider adding a foreground plant like HG and some more java fern and anubias.

Just plant densely and give the plants time to grow in
    Cheers,

I would suggest Buceps & crypts.

They have a very natural, wild look

Background is too bare. Get enough plants to cover the back wall. Java fern is a quick way to fill space.

thanks all for the suggestions....ok so my to-do list

1.) get a few more java fern varieties and wisteria to fill up the background more.

    2) adding some more anubias to the foreground as well as bucep(more ex!)....so i probably need something to tie them down....pebbles?

i added the ketapang leaves to make the water black...but all 6pcs of ketapang added only make my tank just a tiny little bit tinted which doesnt even show in the photo.....

Is it suppose to be like that?
...my tank is 2.5ft with 6pc ketapang leaves quite big size ones.

You may need more ketapang leaves to get the tannin stained effect, as it depends on your water volume and filtration efficiency, just steadily add more leaves over a few days until you get your desired tint color. If you want even faster effect, use ketapang bark, those have much higher concentration of tannins.

Note that if you are using tannins to stain the water tea colored, it will also also decrease the light intensity getting to the plants, so you'll have to moderate it to prevent the possibility of plant growth being stunted due to lack of light.

a solid clump of bolbitis or java fern will turn your tank into an instant secondary forest

Jungle-ed the tank.........waiting for it to grow is the hard part...

added ferns, bolbitis, wisteria, buceps and one unknown plant at the left inner corner..anyone know what's that?

The plant on the left with long narrow leaves looks like Hygrophila corymbosa "siamensis", just a guess.

What brand of soil substrate are you using? Looks much lighter than ADA Amazonia.

actually below is gex shrimp soil...above is ada malaya soil..

its recycled from a shrimp tank to now a jungle tank with my elusive dwarf cichlid hiding somewhere.

wow i think you are right about the name of that plant, looks really similar from online pictures.
