I am gonna do some testing for my 1 ft cube before purchasing. Not rich enough to throw in at the moment. Anyway AA said they bought like 100 plus so definitely still have stock. Apparently all hiding. They have some interesting livestock. Will definitely pop by again.

Another idea for those who can't setup another tank just to keep the micro crabs... can consider using an external hang-on Sudo satellite box instead (the L-size box would be ideal), just add ample clumps of moss or floating plants with long roots and they will be able to live in it. They are small enough that there'll be enough space for a few to co-exist in those external boxes.
They get the benefits of a more stable water quality from the main tank, and you can still observe them easily too.![]()
Just seen this one with eggs. Don't think it'll come to term though...Attachment 48522
Nice. Where did you see this?
It's in my tank. Haha
Thats great... maybe can transfer it to another tank with a gentle sponge filter, if the eggs hatch and the crab releases the tiny free swimming baby zoea, it would be good if they can be fed micro foods like Liquifry or green water until the zoea develop into crab form and then they can continue feeding on normal foods.![]()
My crabs keep hanging themselves on the frobit root for the whole day
Only their pincers moving around for food, such lazy guys

Oh yes UA. Actually thought of doing that, but will have to get another tank first.🏼 I think there weren't many documented cases of success, so it will be a good learning experience.
I got 10 of them last Thursday and have never seen them again in my 2ft tank, they tend to blend in very well in bushy fissden, making it almost impossible to spot... Maybe I should introduce some floating plants too haha.
They will destroy plant right?
I realized that when the light is on they will hide under the frogbit root, barely move. When light is off, they start walking around and go visit other frogbits. They look like bar athletes while moving between those frogbits🏻

Y618 stock in Micro Crab. Do check it out? Will it attack shrimp?
From my experience so far, they wouldn't attack live healthy shrimps... though they are scavengers and may join the other shrimps dining on dead shrimps or fish carcasses (aka clean up crew duties).
The greater concern is they can easily get eaten/hurt by fishes, because they are very small and their tiny pincers aren't much of a defense. So try not to keep them with nippy or even semi-aggressive fishes.
This crab is very shy one, always hiding. In a planted tank, you would never spot them once the light' on. The pincer is not really sharp, I dont think they'll attack other tankmates.
