Yes it's possible. Quality will depends on the grade of crs and diamonds. Good grades will produce good offsprings. Just that it's black and white shrimps. Related link.http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=26183

Hi brothers. I'm new to this shrimp thing and am quite interested to keep some diamond shrimps. If i only have diamond shrimps would most if not all the offsprings be diamond shrimps?

As the black trait is dominant (B) and red trait is recessive (b), a diamond shrimp may be of the following genes, BB (homozygous) or Bb (heterozygous).

BB + BB = BB (100% homozygous diamond)
BB + Bb = BB + Bb (50% homozygous diamond and 50% heterozygous diamond)
Bb + Bb = BB + Bb + Bb + bb (25% homozygous diamond, 50% heterozygous diamond and 25% CRS)

So you may get CRS if your diamonds are heterozygous, but that is only statistically, as you can't be sure if the heterozygrous is mating with another heterozygous or with the homozygous.

I used to have around 30 - 40 pieces in a 2ft tank. But most times it's quite difficult to control population cause they multiple quite fast. No casualties.
