    spiky moss almost like weed to me
    imo its growth rate only loses to taiwan and java moss

    my spiky moss grows like a weed as well in a tank with no fertilization or co2 and super low lights

    i used to have spiky moss on meshes
    layered them on the foreground to create a foreground carpet
    effect's pretty good as they grow nice thick and lush in good water conditions
    nothing spectacular required for it, just cooler water (fan-cooled is good enough), decent lighting and ferts plus clean water (as preferred by most if not all mosses)
    but i gave up on them as they grew too fast
    i wasn't that fond of having to take out and retie the meshes every month or two

    as for moss slope...erhmm im not exactly sure what kind of moss slope you are meaning so can't really say much about that

    Thanks for the advice, have seen spiky moss being used in a tank today...it looks pretty nice, will go for it and see how it grows out to be
