    I am trying out a HC lawn using the emersed method.

    Tank : 30cm x 20cm x 30cm (Braceless ADA Styled Silicon by Davidsws)
    Substrate : GEX (Red Package)

    How many watts of lights you have there? I'm trying this method too. Really slow.

    you can put it under direct sun light (or much higher wattage) to speed it up and you can also put cover on top to reduce evaporation.

    direct sunlight will it dry the silicon of the tank? i am worried about that..thats why i did not deploy that method..any advice as i could be wrong

    So how about double your light? My experience growing HC emerse, it is slow starter.

    i try growing emmersed. using BOYU 18watt single tube.. they creep pretty fast IMO.

    my lights is 20w PL...let me experiment and see how it goes lol...by the way whats the duration you guys keep your lights on?

    bro.. i think thats 20w FL.. this lighting tube is not straight one.. its something like a ball one right?

    i noticed quite a handful of the hc turned brown or black like dying...anything wrong with my setup? i mist the tank twice a day and 8hours of light (4hours with 4hours break follow by another 4hours)

    I running lights with breaks as well, though I'm not sure whether its really effective.

    Update on my HC growth. Is it consider very slow? I am doing 8 hours lighting and tank is cover by clear cooking wraps to retain moisture.
    quite abit of them have melted too. anything I have done wrong?

    Hmm, rate is pretty slow. Theres was someone trying this method as well but his HC melted too, failed project. It is possible 12w not enough.

    I remembered you using 2x 9W for a HC setup? Can confirm ?
