Erm... All shrimps disappeared? The last time I saw them was when I took out the left DW. They were all hiding in it, and all dropped out scurrying for cover.![]()
Cheers,
Sean
Thats a bit unlucky. You didnt have them out the tank did you?
When i rescaped mine last year i put all my fish and shrimps in a polystyrene box. Low and behold the shrimps could walk out the box, up the side and down across my carpet. Was shocked to see them crawl up out the water and off making a break for freedom! Had to put a wooden lid over it whilst i did my rescape.
No idea if you have taken yours out of the tank, or you've jsut lost them within the tank.

planta,
Seeing that you have an extensive fert regime, so not sure if you came across this. It is possible that your shrimps are exhibiting the same behavioural as ryan. However, its not conclusive, just something to help you try out in the meantime.

It's been a while. Busy with graduation and now, work.
Got tired of flame moss, so decided to replace them with spiky moss.
Before replacement:
A top-down view of my flame moss:
After replacement. Planted some HC too.
A top down view. Oh, btw, the java fern 'Philippines' are thriving! And surprisingly the bolbitis survived, but is plaged by BBA. Well, at least it didn't die out altogether.

A very unusual layout you have there... uniqueWhat you've achieved with the Flame moss is absolutely stunning... but I like your new foreground arrangement a lot better. Do you trim your Rotala very frequently?

hi im wondering why did u change your ista external reactor to a glass diffuser?im just wondering whether it works cos im planning to use to use one which is given by someone

Thanks Jervis. I'm selling the flame moss now. Do you want them? Fully grown.
Anyway, nope, I don't trim the rotala frequently. I trim them only when they've reached the water surface (ok.. maybe after some weeks of procrastination). I forgot to take the latest pictures before trimming. That's why they're missing from the background.Yup. This time I trimmed the bunch on the left to half its height to allow for a denser growth to match the bunch on the right.
Cheers,
Sean

Hi maybe u can try the nature aquarium one. somebody in here is selling them. maybe u can contact him.

is your ista reactor the mad mix one? so if your filter is too strong for that reactor how does it affects the reactor?
