I don't know about you guys, but I find that the ADA products have very WEIRD names.

    Phyton-Git?
    Green Brighty?
    Wood Tight?

    Really weird...

Note: This thread has no meaning.

    Yes I have to agree

    3 possibilities:

    1) Amano just name his products the way he likes it

    2) With unique (and seemingly funny) names, ADA can copyright most of its product names, this is important as ADA spent a lot of effort educating and promoting the hobby. The last thing you want is to see products like Seachem Green Bacter or Ocean Free Brighty K in the market

    3) Probably some of these English names are direct translation from the Japanese language.

Hmm I think Jervis has a good explanation for the weird names. Moss Cotton, Pro Razor, Pollen Glass, etc are named just the way he likes it!

I still find Green Brighty Lights/Shade quite unusual... are they meant for bright light / shady plants respectively?

Yes, Light is for plants that require bright light and Shade is for plants like moss and Anubias
