    Re: Discussion on Cabinets

I was think about this last night, until I forgot to eat my dinner. Then comes 12am-2am I still couldn't sleep, so cook some noodles, whole night no sleep until now. Thinking of something real real ambious this time round...went through several websites over and over again. ADA sites only read a bit. Plan to continue to read further.

3 or 4ft. Pro 3e. illummax. cabinet. fan. think think think...I think my thyroid hyper-activeness got activated. I still don't feel sleepy but I think later will fall like a log.

Anyway, I know there are still forumers with nice cabinets haven't come into this thread yet. Await more forumers to come in to share =)

    Showing two types of wood.

Noticed that the 2nd wood is heavy and the number of rings is more denser, hence would better the first one. First one however is of medium quality hence not suitable if you are using for use with heavy tanks.

blue blue, H70 might be a bit short. 70-10top -10bottom = 50 in center. You still have to look ext. filter and CO2 tank able to fit in or not...so H80 cabinet would allow more free play. Sungei Kadut...hmmm....

It look just like a laminate instead of read wood.

In my opinion the most important is the frame, get the right wood for the frame. The rest you can do whatever you want. I believe most of the cost probably goes to the frame as well.

Heavy wood I meant. Especially the main supporting structures. Have a good tank but the cabinet give way...phew...nightmare also. For myself, not an issue. I got the resource contacts...relatives I meant.

I was hoping for more forumers to share their cabinets so that the rest can draw an appreciation actually.

    Re: Discussion on Cabinets

Hmmmm, any updates on this thread?

I'm looking to replace my tank and cabinet. Any one knows if the cabinets sold by the LFS uses what type of wood?

My current cabinet was custom made with marine plywood and laminated. Solid but heavy...
