have not been updating for some time so i thought i might as well. my previous was torn down mid 09. in july 09 i thought of trying iwagumi style, rocks were hard to find and size was another problem. finally after some time i managet to find 3 rocks. had them placed in the tank in the begining. as time went by, my itchy hands broke up the rocks and rescaped it bit by bit.

pls enjoy and leave your comments. thanks.

    july 09 - i found 3 sisters.

august 09, i put the fishes; rasboras and ottos.

oct 09, the 3 sisters came under the hammer.

nov 09, the mini pellia mid ground was starting to flourish slowly.

finally in feb of the new year. thr right side was trimmed and one stone added. the mini pellia foreground was getting along very slowly and nicely.

If the soil behind can raise higher would look much better and lesser space shown behind. What happen to your previous tank before torn down?

    thanks larlee, tangjyd, eviltrain.

blue33 - the sand was much higher as i pic#1, but as time went by, i think it settled down slowly to the front and side.

previous tank? previous scape u mean? i got tired of it, too much maintenance.

initially front was 25mm measured from skirting up. now it is already 5cm!guess the wave maker had a part to play in it.

I like the nice progression of your tank. How do you trim the mini pellia tied to the rocks?

trim?! why the need to trim? they grow so so so s.........l.........o..........w.......l.......y. i dun even have to trim them. whatever that is up rooted by the wave maker is tied onto another piece of stone and positioned.

the above took around 7 months to grow. the amount i started with was a small small tua huay tub, only enough to cover large 2 stones sparsely.

I like the progression you made to this tank. You should have mantained the scape of the top pic instead of the bottom one. The Top one looks VERY NICE!!
It's good that the stones from the left side of the top pic doesn't look too covered up cos by not covering all the stones/rocks on the left with pellias, the growth of algae on the exposed area will add more character to that area. The big rock on the right side looks a bit out of syn with the left side. Maybe you can add some rocks over that area.

there is no continuity between left and right on the last photo. you block either of them and you will see 2 different tank

aquarius - thanks for your comments. at the moment waiting for more pellia to grow before tying to rock on right side.

james_C - patience patience.....rome was not built in a day. why the rush.

jtan0916 - slope diminished over time. to create it means rescape again.

    shaihulud and reborn4ever - thanks.

diazman - maintenance is responsibility, to relax is my goal, sharing is just past time.

Very nice and inspiring! I like the last pic, especially the left side. Also admire your patience to slowly finetune your scape. I always very itchy hand and want to "improve" every 2 days.

By the way, what size is the tank huh? 2ft?
