You see if any residue start to accumulate on the probe tip and got harder in due time hence less sensitively and inaccurate in ph reading. Moreover every ph meter probe must be calibrate for every each use. Alamak this ph meter seems very troublesome if any one of us aren't aware of this problem. So don't waste your precious SGD on this totally useless ph meter. use ph test strip is much easier of course, however the tolerance is 0.5% accurate.
hope this will help you.
Okay la. I think you mean those handheld pH meter is it? What most of the shrimp keeper use are those AC type 24/7 reading. Just need to calibrate once every 2-4 weeks will do the job.
Next best will be those drip test kits and lastly test strips.
Drip test kits will give better readings. Especially sera brand. Api will be difficult to check.
Test stripe you need to keep at non moisture environment, if not it will affect future readings.
