This piece was dark browned when I threw into my pool of Fire Red tank. Hours later, it appeared to look like "fire red". Malayan shrimp certainly learned the art of "integrate" very well.

They are masters of color changing.
In Indian their called rainbow shrimp, you can guess how that name came to be.

About 1.1 inches, the size of normal amano shrimp that makes Wongce drools on the spot.

Ya, they are shy creature always hiding. When I took the photo, this fellow crawled back into the pelia mass. Only come out to pretend itself as FR when I threw in food…

Cannot be, 8 big pieces all MIA? Wait till they come out and surprise you with green color, pink or yellow…hahaha. At least I know mine has turned red already and no sign of it wanting to revert to its original coloring.

How will the shrimplets look like when these shrimps cross breed with the fire reds?

    Re: Giant Malayan Shrimp blushed

I am not really a fan of Malayan shrimp but I find them easier to maintain than Amano shrimp. With shorter legs they can get along with my FR during feeding, but Amano won't be easy due to longer legs and habbit of food snatching. So far, I only have 3 malayan in my tank and I prefer to keep big size malayan shrimp so that I can see them clearly.

Only older adults will show more color changing. I kept mine for a good long time.

Below list is as what I understand. Seaview and c328 do not display them.
Na -juvenile/quite young adults (bottom right corner)
Y618 - juvenile/young adults (the shrimp tub thingy of course)
GC - adults (please check with uncle)
Seaview - juveniles (ask worker to pack)
C328 - juveniles (check with aunty for stock)

Please correct if c328 no longer stocks them. I've been told so but have not been able to confirm.

Thanks Felix_fx2, will try to check out Seaview later. No wonder I didn't see them at both C328 and Seaview before.
