Y618 or na aquarium
My co2 continuously discharged even when power off. Looks like solenoid kaput. Tried to buy at Seaview but they selling complete set with gauge. Any idea where i could find just the solenoid?. Or is it they can only be purchased as a set?.

Saw solenoid parts for sale at EOA too.
Thanks to all the helpful tips. Out of desperation took out the solenoid gave it a tap n it started functioning normally again. But as a back up plan came across one in the eBay and placed an order. If only I had known earlier that they could be found in NA and Y618!. Anyway thanks guys for coming to my rescue.

Sorry for not making myself clear. I have already ordered solenoid thru ebay. I suspect problem could be more than a faulty solenoid because even when the main valve of the co2 cylinder was totally closed co2 still being discharged from diffuser. It only stopped when the needle valve was totally shut. Could it be the main valve is also defective?. Advisable to change whole cylinder or this fault can be rectified?.

You have to consider that when the main valve is closed, there is still some co2 residue from the outlet to solenoid to the diffuser. Once the pressure is depleted, you will see no co2 coming out from the diffuser. I still think it is a faulty solenoid issue. It will be the cylinder issue if the pressure remains and never drops when the valve is shut for a period of time
All LFS would only sell a complete set. Solenoid replacements can be found at co2 specialised shops like (Bioplast) system and control and maybe NA.
Try open the connection between electromagnetic and metal part, thee black color box. Look if the pin inside bend. Happen to me before and it because the pin is bend. It working fine once corrected.
Might want to make sure the replacement will work for our mains voltage as well. If water didn't get into the solenoid somehow (and left some corrosion or something in there), it shouldn't stick. I've taken apart a solenoid before and it's pretty simple, might just wanna see if it's an easy fix.
You bought the solenoid only?
The bulk of problems is mostly within the chamber that Co2 passes through, most of the time stuck open or stuck closed.
The solenoid is simply the eletro-magnet that pulls the pin down when powered, if by any chance your solenoid is JBL or similar. the below pictures might help you.
Taken when i opened up my solenoid.
This part is the pin the commonly gets stuck open/closed, or unable to close tightly (aka slow leak)

Hi Shadow n Felix appreciate your follow up to my problem. The pics were a big big help. I will open them up to get to the root of the problem. Fortunately my replacement includes the metal chamber as well but yet to receive. No worries Gang yi the voltage is rated at 220VAC. Thanks for the alert. Will keep all posted of the progress.

This is the part that was bend last time when I encountered shut off issue.

Removed the solenoid but unable to remove the pin as this model has the pin sealed in the housing. The first 3 pics show the various view of the housing. Pin appear to be stuck as even when solenoid switched on/off no movement detected on the pin. Shall just wait for replacement to arrive and update accordingly.
