Thank you! I got negative comments on it at other forums. Most don't like the lava rock.

Soon changing it to a lighthouse theme.

Iwagumi trial. The stones are picked from reservoirs..I think. No filter used.

my wife did all the planting of the hairgrass while I did the rock placement and tying some of the mosses to the rocks.

Wonder how this tank will go?

I think the rocks are too short and will get totally covered by hair grass soon, maybe try changing the rocks?

It is barely surviving in my low tech tank. I believe it does better in hard water since my water is very soft. Planning on tearing down the tank and putting dolomite in the substrate. Perhaps then it will grow better.

Yeh that is what I am doing now with moss, clover and sags. The hair grass which is tall I don't like thus leaving it in 29 gallon tank.

Well I tried the dry set up in a window sill and it didn't work. Just not enough light.

I was told my tank might belong here...

It WAS a low-tech tank for about 7-8 years, only recently upgraded it with more bells and whistles. The plants have been this dense for many years already.

My low tech 1ft Cube. Probably coming to a year...

12W Screw on PL Light in Ikea Study Lamp.
    No CO2, no Fertilizer.
    3W HOB Filter.
$2 Potting Peat and Volcanic Soil from HomeFix DIY top over with leftover lapis sand and gex soil.
Some Boraras brigittae, Cardinal Tetras and many many cherry shrimps.
Cryptocoryne wendtii, Green Gecko, Green, Brown.
Cyperus helferi and Bolbitis heudelotii at the back.
Ad hoc water change and lighting hours as tank is at parent's place and lights not running on timer.

mok lovely setup. The branch draws the eye upward making the tank seem bigger than it is.

What plants do you have? What light are you using? Are you injecting Co2?
