The tank looks like it is green vs. red... half the tank is fully green..the other is fully red...

For the rotala..you could trim them shorter...the lower you trim them..the more branching and a denser effect you will get in the future. in fact you could probably hit about what the shotest stems are right now and then replant the tops... of course when it gets reaaally dense..some parts of the base will start dying and becoming scrawny....so you will probably have to cover that up in the future...either with the H. palustris you have now..or something else.. but this tank is nothing but looking up.. getting better and better each day..

Agree totally! I almost gonna name my tank "Traffic Lights"

Introduced a small bunch of Mini Bolbitis, tied to the small DW. Having this in the foreground will break the Red vs. Green division. The only concern now is the excessive amount of light the Bolbitis is getting

Ok will do more pruning during next water change

Yes, the redder stems are the replanted ones... they can grow pretty fast

Yupe removed the bigger Ohko rock to give way to more plants.

For the "mini" bolbitis..you need to watch it... can't be certain if this can survive underwater for too long. Think i'll go check...

Jervis, I have just noticed you've changed to pollen glass mini, thought you started the setup with the pollen glass II, with it hidden at the back?

The glass mini looks too short and quite close to the surface, will it lose a fair bit of co2 in this case?

Since this is just a small colony... will use it as an experiment... but they do look nice tied to small branches

Sharp eyes! Yeah I am trying out this (I bought a few pollen glasses in Japan). It's much neater as it doesn't involve more air tubes, suction caps and connectors. The water flow, reflecting from the front glass will push the CO2 bubbles towards the back downwards. Perhaps it just works well in this situation.

From the website the pollen mini looks longer and fits the cube miniS/M perfectly, but it looks kinda short on a cube 30 even though all 3 tanks are quite You've changed the length of the connectors?

Both your 30/60 ada tanks sure have a variety species, i no longer see any cherries in your 30cube, you've moved them to your larger tank after they've cleaned up your hair algae?

Unfortunately they didn't make it during my holidays

Anyway, this tank is really not suitable for keeping ornamental shrimps as the temperature fluctuates quite a bit on a daily basis especially during the weekends

ya, the likes of small tanks is like this, i made the same mistake of alot of people to plurge into this hobby thinking nano tanks can keep shrimps. If i had came to AQ earlier, i would have learnt more about stability.

Currently your ada30 project is already doing well with a variety of plants with showcase fishes, no need for ornamental shrimps as it already looks awesome

So what are you keeping now? Yes we all splurge in our own funny ways be it big or small

Yeah this tank turns out better than expected... but again, buying plants is easy, planting is easy too... the real challenge remains Seriously I do not think this tank has anymore space for shrimps.

I was so stressed up at work today... I took 1/2 off to 'release' myself

    Before:
The Rotala marcradra 'Narrow' is growing very well and the red keeps coming back after every trim and it grows pretty quickly.

So I've decided to be more bold (I am a bit more confident nowadays) and trim the back very low. I trim them to the level I want the plant to branch out into thick stems.

Let's see how long will it take to reach the surface again Took the opportunity to perform a 30% water change

All 10 White Clouds (fish) are doing fine... no jumping so far

Interestingly I notice some specimens showing development on their anal, dorsal and pelvic fins. Are they maturing?

    Thanks!

This $2 plant is growing well too with new growth in pale green. Can any kind soul help ID this plant?

My Pogostemon helferi (Downoi) from Tropica. Slow growing but at least things are looking positive.

Shouldn't have mix them with Japanese hairgrass... they are completely surrounded by the HG
